Since Tim Cook took the helm of Apple from Steve Jobs ten years ago, the firm’s market capitalization has increased by more than $2 Trillion. That’s the highest ever wealth creation for shareholders by any CEO.
Tim Cook’s numbers clearly beat the numbers of Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway who are leading their respective firms for 24.1 years and 44.9 years respectively.
But the biggest value addition to market capitalization per year (as their tenures are less) is by two Indian-born CEOs: Satya Nadella of Microsoft and Sundar Pichai of Google. Satya Nadella leads the race by creating maximum shareholder wealth every year.
